Welcome to the Penticton KIDNEY WALK. You’ve taken the first step to becoming a Kidney Hero.

In BC 39 kidney transplants were completed as of March 23, 2010. According to BC Transplant, as of that date 244 patients were still waiting for a life-saving kidney. If 100% of BC’s population registered to be organ donors, the waiting list would disappear! Kidney disease is growing by epidemic proportions. In British Columbia 1 in every 30 people have developed kidney disease. By getting involved in The Kidney Foundation’s  Kidney Walk Campaign you might be helping yourself or someone you love and approximately 145,000 British Columbians living with kidney disease.
